Thinking of renting a dolly from U-Haul to tow a car from Maine to Florida this fall. We've never towed before, so pardon us if this is a really stupid question. But--once you get the car off the doll...
I do not know what renting will cost you, or what you have to do as far as a ball hitch and wiring. BUT 4 down is so much easier, and a 2650# Sonic will be ideal. I cannot see not putting the $$ towards flat towing. Mine cost $1750, demco base plate, tow bar, and wiring installed. The U-Haul tow dolly is heavier than a tow dolly you might purchase due to it's jack of all trades job. Just sayin.
