Lets put this into perspective. There are Costs, Performance and Convenience factors to be ALL weighed. For example:
Used Tow dolly with surge brakes (I paid $1000). Just needed a 2" ball on my coach and 4flat electrical connector. Surge brakes eliminated the need for a brake controller in the cockpit of the coach. Towed a Solara, Yaris and Eclipse with no additional costs.
Used Tow Bar (???0), Tow brackets unique to most vehicles (???), Separate braking mechanism (???) separate taillights (???) and of course labor (????)
