tow haul

I have a 35ft 2014 f53 chassis. I have never used the tow haul mode but once and didn't much like it. Do any of you run it all the time? How does it work going up hill? I tried it going down hill and every time I hit the brakes it down shifted when I didn't think it need to. Any input helpful. Thanks

  • I have it on my F150 and love it when I'm hauling 4000 pounds of gravel on a 1000 pound trailer. Holds the truck back going down hills and keeps it from shifting up to soon. It sounds like you must be hauling a lighter trailer and it's not needed. If you had a loaded 20 foot trailer behind you and were in the mountains I bet you'd love it. It would be nicer if it was adjustable depending upon the trailers weight. I wouldn't think that would take much effort on Fords part but every little knob costs them money.
