Is that short of a coach going to have much of a frame extension, if any at all?

Your assumptions mean you know more than the Winnebago engineers that designed it for 5000# in the first place. If they thought the hitch could haul more don't you think they would have made a big deal on their advertising that they can haul more than anybody else.
Probably not. Most manufacturers like to keep the inventory down to save on cost, so they are only going to carry one model of hitch. It is expensive to re-engineer something. Shorter length models are low volume sellers, so it is not worth the added inventory costs and engineering costs to supply it with the larger hitch. It would be very rare for someone to specifically buy a shorter coach, so they could haul something huge. Most people buy smaller for economic reasons. (economic, not necessarily meaning financial)
