  • I tow a 8.5 x 20 enclosed trlr with Harley and other motorcycles. Only problem comes when you get to tight areas. I had to back into a pull thru spot in Wa as i couldnt make the turn going in forward. I have had to unhook when they couldnt accomidate me. Other than that i have no problems.

Pay the difference for a V nose... Harder to dent the front corners plus the cycle can go there cutting down on the length you need. Have a hitch on the car capable of moving the trailer if necessary/easier. I would want the side door located where I could get the cycle out without removing the car. Many states have a 65' max combined length although not enforced often.
  • In Wa. we can tow up to 75' in total length, that leaves me to tow a 35' trailer. (way too much) We see several Class A's that tow a box trailer that has the car in it, plus is used as the spare bed room. Bunks potty and all in there. Sorta like the toy hauler :)
  • I pull a 20' Vnose enclosed trailer with Harley, golf cart & other toys with no problem. Have Only run into a few RV parks where I had to disconnect, but 99.5% of time sites are 65+ long.
  • I am curious about site availability for such a long trailer and do most CG's have a storage lot for the trailer if it doesn't fit at the site.
  • I am researching trailer for car hauling as well and notice the new V-nose trailers in 16' size should be good for mid-sized car.
    Anybody tried that?
  • I tow a 24'(inside length}with my car and golf cart as well as bicycles, etc. Works great for me. What would you like to know? Macktee
  • OK, thanks for the direction. I will look in the car race forums.
  • This may not be the best site for this question, as this is more camping oriented with a splash of everything else.

I've seen many rigs with a large enclosed trailer with car and large bike, however they were always sports or race cars. Meaning they were HUGE trailers!

Browse around in race car forums and especially Corvettes. Those guys love to haul their cars around to various meets, and typically they are in very high numbers compared to others. In Custer this year, dozens were at our campground for an annual meet in Spearfish. 2 guys (they were clearly buddies) had their car AND Can-Am Spiders along. Those are the guys you need to talk to!
  • my daughter tows a 6x10ft trailer all the time with her dog equipt and a golf cart. tows with a sprinter chassis MH no problems.
