Toyo tires

I am getting ready to buy 4 tires for my DSDP (I replaced the front 2 about 2 yrs. & 11,000 mi. ago). I got a price on Michelin (ouch!!), & Hankook. I have read several posts on this forum about Toyo tires so I called L. Schwab for a price on Toyo and was told they were not available in my size: 275/70R 22.5.

Any ideas?
  • Oops just noticed you said you can't get them in your size.
  • Didn't have Michelins in my size either. Went with next bigger standard size and they fit fine. I did all 6 at once

That's strange as I bought 275/70/22.5 Toyo but it's been 12 years ago. Nice tire.
I was surprised to see Triangle tires on tour buses in Spain this fall.
  • I had the same issue on our previous so went with the Hankook. Very pleased and would buy them again without reservation.
  • Toyo doesn't make that size, or LS doesn't carry them? Have you tried locating a Toyo dealer on their website?
  • The Toyo table I have doesn't show your size. In 22.5" tires it goes from 265 to 295, no 275.
  • Correct, Toyo does not make a 275 tire. I went with their model 154 in size 295. These went on the rear drive axle and the fit fine with no rubbing or other problems.

  • If you really want Toyo you should be able to get into a close dimensioned tire ok....but the Hankooks should be fine and probably cost a bit less.
  • The Hankook AH-12's in that size is a great tire. Had them on my previous DP and was very pleased with them.
