Looking good and being good can be two different things. Change interval is usually 60k on Toyota's, I believe. And change the water pump while you are in there. Towns can be few, and far between on the Alcan. ( and may not even have the parts, could take days to get them) if the town is small enough. Cell phone coverage is spotty, tow bill expensive, not to mention hours spent roadside waiting for help

In my opinion heading up to Alaska, with a questionable belt and water pump would be a poor choice
