TPMS, which have you found to be decent?

I'm looking to get a TPMS for our 25' Winnebago Navion, and Dinghy.

So far I'm liking the Tiretraker TT-500, simply because it looks like a decent system, and carries a lifetime warranty, whereas the others are only one year.

However, I'm concerned that I would need to purchase the repeater for another $49 to avoid false signals due to the length of RV with dinghy.

Looking for your insight as these things aren't cheap!

Thank you,
m

    Welcome.

First day on the job for the EEZ brand. Seems to work fine. No repeater needed for a long truck towing a 34' fiver. 10 sensors. Takes awhile for all sensors to begin reporting.

What a relief to have this after recently suffering what could have been a disaster had I not seen it as it happened.

Looks like TST is very popular, but I'm still liking the Lifetime Warranty on the Tiretraker.

It's almost impossible to adequately respond to a question like this. I have had several TPMS (actually three) but I have no idea if one of them was the best on the market. The one I have now works for us. See previous posts.
I'd do a Google search for `best tpms' and see what they come up with. I doubt if Consumers Report has tested them.

Based on your response I have changed the title of my post, as you apparently only read the title and not the entire post, and I can presume, others might do the same.

As I noted in my post, was looking for insight on what you guys thought was the best based upon real world experience.

For example, you have use three TPMS's, what did/didn't you like about them? The one you have now works for you, what do you like/dislike about it.

Just trying to find out brands and models that are good or bad.

  • I run a TST TPMS on my 25' Prism (6 sensors/M-B chassis), and on my Forester toad (4 sensors). No repeater. Had the TST system about 10 years - awesome system, even better customer support if needed - started on my Roadtrek, moved to the Prism last year. Did put Borg metal dually valve stems on the rear of the Prism, "regular" metal stems on the front wheels. Since the Suby has its own TPMS, did not replace those valve stems - just added the sensors. • To answer your question.

I have the system that you are looking at I am very happy with it. The lifetime warranty sold me,it also came with extra batteries and O rings.

My RV is 27 ft long with no toad and it works perfect,as a test I took one of the Wireless Tire Pressure Sensors about 15 ft from the rear of the RV and attached it to another car and it still worked just fine.

You could always get the system and test it and see if you really need the repeater.
