Peaches& cream is correct on setting up the receiver I do the same thing with my home box. Make sure the satilite coax is hooked directly to the box and then let the satilite dish find the Direct TV satilite then program your receiver. i am assuming yours is a automatic roof mount Tracvision dish. It has always worked of me. Mine is an older dish so can't set it up for dual tv's. I watch all my recorded programs. it works well
