As the OP here I must tell you that no "options" were calculated into the valuation. Even though there are "add-ons" (added after purchase) to my MH these were not used to increase the valuation. I really was interested in the "base" value and where it might "land" with potential dealers.
I am OK with a dealer making money off of a trade-in but I am not OK with the recent tactics encountered. I am just not sure when the used RV business turned so "slimy" (only word I can think of). I am told that financing is part of the reason. Perhaps this helps explain.
I am not adverse to selling my own MH. I have sold several boats this way (same price range) and it does not bother me. But I certainly thought the RV resale business was a bit more reasonable. I have been proven wrong.
