Trans temp on dash not registering

Hello. I have a 1996 Monaco Dynasty. First trip out with RV and after some driving noticed that the monitor on dash to inform about temperature of the transmission is not registering. This worked when I took the RV out of storage. The only thing I have done to the transmission since taking the RV out of storage is added fluid to the transmission as it was low. Any thoughts please as to a fix to ensure the monitoring system for transmission temperature while driving is operating?

    It's most likely a wiring issue or ground issue. Find the trans temp sensor and work from there. It should be a simple wire (sensor looking plug) that is connected to the transmission.

    You have a wire off or corroded on the trans sensor.
    Running thru big puddles of water knocked mine off.
    I tightened the fitting and it has been good ever since.

    Check the simple things first, blown fuse, loose or corroded connections at the transmission and gauge.
