If your unit came with Transynd it should not require changing unless you have some kind of transmission failure or it becomes contaminated. You should only have to top it off if you have some loss.
On previous trucks with the Allison 1000 I swapped over to Transynd from Dexron V11. Had to do a double drain and fill then according to the person who helped develop Transynd it should last a life time. Look at the Class A forum and there is a "sticky" where he have answered many questions.
Your owners manual should give you details on when to drain and you may have already reviewed it. I would request a sample bottle from Blackstone and send it in. It would give you details on the condition of your oil.
