Transynd ??

Find your local Allison transmission dealer or order it FROM AMAZON.

Transynd is a TES 295 fluid. Any transmission fluid that says it meets TES 295 specifications is good.

Transynd is the fluid recommended by Allison but if you go to the Allison website they will give you a listing of other brands that are also TES-295 approved. As long as you use a transmission fluid that is TES-295 approved you are good to go. DO NOT let some auto parts guy in to telling you that their fluid is just as good and will work. If it does not state that it is TES-295 approved on the label, do not use it. NAPA should have what you need. It is not real cheap but it is what you need.

Or just go to any Allison dealer. Their prices (at least in our area) are not out of line.

They sell it by the quart, gallon and 5 gallon pail. Also have the correct filter for your transmission.

Most truck and bus sales/repair places will have it too. My local Cummins dealer also carries it and I believe I saw it at my local Tractor Supply, but it doesn't show up at their WEB site.

I buy mine from Detroit Diesel who is usually an Allison repair facility also.

If your unit came with Transynd it should not require changing unless you have some kind of transmission failure or it becomes contaminated. You should only have to top it off if you have some loss.
On previous trucks with the Allison 1000 I swapped over to Transynd from Dexron V11. Had to do a double drain and fill then according to the person who helped develop Transynd it should last a life time. Look at the Class A forum and there is a "sticky" where he have answered many questions.

Your owners manual should give you details on when to drain and you may have already reviewed it. I would request a sample bottle from Blackstone and send it in. It would give you details on the condition of your oil.

And, I would suggest that if this is the OE fluid and therefore at least 12 years old, it is well worth changing (along with the filter).

Mobil Delvac 1 Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid

Lifetime ATF? Not in my transmission. I change mine and the filter every 25,000 miles. Oil is cheap, transmissions are not.
