Trojan Batteries --- Heads -Up

I am wintering in Fort Myers, FL and my 11 year old Trojan 105's finally bit the dust. (Can you imagine that?) In searching for places that sell Trojans I found that "Batteries Plus" handle them and for a very reasonable price. I can't say whether all Batteries Plus stores sell them or whether its just in Fort Myers.

  • We also found our T-105's at a golf cart facility. Best price for us.

I will have to check B+ near me since I need new batts.

I am, however, considering Sams or Costco due to price.
  • 11yrs is pretty good. How often did you dry camp? I'm guessing not very often and if you did the batteries needed to be charged pretty often.

Batteries will last for a long time as long as they are maintained. Check water, add if needed and plugged in all the time.

Thanks for the info on Batteries Plus - will check out our local store.

Since flooded cells batteries can't be shipped VIA FED-X or UPS you have use a truck freight thing and those only go to businesses I think. It could be you can order TROJAN batteries at places like the BATTERY PLUS and then go pick them up when they get in...

I am going to start looking for my 4EA Trojan T1275 150AH 12VDC batteries soon for my WAR WAGON OFF-ROAD POPUP project so will be looking for a way to get them home somehow...

  • The best price we found was at our local Yamaha Golf Cart dealer. We purchased four, twelve volt batteries far cheaper than any price we could find for any brand. They had six volt batteries also.
  • 11 years!! That's great. I changed mine out at 5 years, I was told that was about normal life span for the T-105's? Had I known that they had an 11 year potential I might have waited.
