I put the 5 Star Tuner in our 2005 Itasca class C to fix the fuel mileage, shift pattern and get more power/torque. We've had it for 4 years now and what an improvement. We get 2 mpg average better than it did and and climbs the mountains much better. Most of time I can pull up a grade at 55+ MPH with our toad or motorcycles attached. The max torque point is moved to around 3200-3400 rpm which allows her to pull better without the screaming engine. If it does shift, it will down shift correctly and shift back up as it can. You don't get that long run at high RPM after you top the grade like it used too. All 5 Star says is if you must take it a Ford dealer to remove the software update and place the original back in the computer to prevent it from being overlaid by Ford. It is a simple software update to the computer not an actual chip. Took me about 5 minutes the first time to run the update. The update tool also saves the original load so its easy to remove the update and re-install the original. My recommendation would be install after the Ford warranty expires just in case. I'll probably use it in our next V10 also.
