2006 Gulf Stream Yellowstone 36. I cannot find what the problem is with the front TV on the coach. Rear TV works great but front TV seem to not be hooked up the RV antenna. Oddly, one channel works while all others seem to have no antenna connection. I live in an area where it makes no difference whether antenna is raised or not. Rear TV does not notice the difference. Signals are strong without it. At one time, the previous owner had Directtv installed. I simply hooked up a cable between the RV ANT output and the Directtv ANT port on the Directtv receiver and the TVs came to life except, of course, the front TV. Any ideas? Anyone know what A/V switch box was originally installed in this RV? Could be that the Directv receiver box is defective.

My brother had much the same problem which he could not fix. On the front TV you had to put a 0 in front of the eight lower channels. Since you get one channel it could be this simple.

have you tried to do a auto channel program in the tv mode for the front TV

Question: RVs have two or 3 different antenna systems.First: A wall plate.. This plate has a 12 volt outlet, SWITCH, LIGHT and antenna connector, Normally it is near the main (Front) TV or near the antenna.Second: A Sensar Pro, this has two digital displays, 3 buttons, and a column of LED lights with labels. Finally, a Box of Many Buttons (Matrix Switch) BOMB for short. The top one, Light must be onThe middle one, tap any button, and ONE of the led's should come on, if the digital displays light up as well good, if not touch the TOP button one time. and the digital displays should come on.On the box of many buttons, the ANT button must be pressed Try pressing it again,, If that does not work turn OFF the power switch (oh, that has to be on as well) and then push buttons like 50 to 100 times at random alternating with the ANT button, then push ANT and turn power back on. Beyond that we get to serious touble shooting.

You could have one of several issues;1. Antenna coax to Front TV is not connected or is damaged.2. Front TV is set for A/V or Satellite-In rather than Antenna.3. Front TV has tuner failure. Repair or replace.Diagnose by insuring, via On-Screen Menus, that the front TV is set for Antenna, not Digital, or HDMI, or Video. If not, switch to Antenna and perform Scan.Substitute a known good TV to see how it performs. If it works OK, suspect #3. Yeah, because I have tried the channel SCAN, made sure the TV setting is to AIR rather than the CABLE ,and because the rear TV works perfectly, I have swapped where the TVs connect to the antenna and the rear still works great but the front is the same, it seems the most likely is that the tuner at fault. Just seems odd that the TV will show one single channel perfectly but all others act as if there is no antenna connected. I have yet to try a park cable. Wonder if that will make any difference?

They make 3 types of wall plates.. Just antenna, Antenna and 12 volt, And the one you have.

Possibly a bad coax, possibly a bad wall plate (Replace with Sensar Pro if you need to replace it) and have you done a full channel scan.

Also, Is Front TV a modern ATSC capable Wide Screen.. Forgot that. Older sets can not get digital TV.

FIXED. Converter was the solution. Analog tuner on this 2007 TV. Digital to analog converter solved the problem. Thanks for all the help.

I would suggest a LED map light (The plug in to dash outlet type) to illuminate the area when connecting or disconnecting the coax.. About all the power it has to spare (one or two LED's).

You could also use an auto adapter to charge your cell phone or blue tooth speakers or such.. But keep it to around 1-2 amps tops.

Yep, rear has been converted to a flat screen. Front is still the square analog. What converters?

In a 2006, the front TV may be an older analog style, even though it may be a wide screen format. I just changed both of ours in our 06 and they were both analog and a wide format and needed converters. Someone may have already upgraded the rear one, it would be the easier of the two. Just a thought that has not been mentioned yet. Hope this may help, Happy Trails Bert

When we bought our coach the previous owner also had direct tv. I could not get any channels. I removed the cable connection and the cable was not connected. The antenna cable could be disconnected at the antenna or at the box.

HMMMM, sounds reasonable. Now, Just need to find a bomb with RCA connections for the TVs and coax for the antenna. This is probably the setup from the factory. All I have seen advertised are coax connections for the TV cables.

Okay....I reread your post several times. It says you connected the cable form the antenna to the DirecTv box and then from the DirecTv box to the TV???? If this is true, you'll never get your front TV to work. The rear one probably has a better tuner and since you get local stations with the antenna down, it's picking them up without the antenna.

The antenna needs output needs to go to the BOMB and then both TV's....or from the antenna to a splitter and both TV's.
