And I thought of this too, but this doesn't completely solve your problem either. If you don't already have a second receiver in the bedroom then you have to get coax from your dish directly to that receiver. So it would be possible to use the existing coax and add a section to it and get it up through the roof and hooked to the dish and it would probably work fine. But then you are paying the extra $5 for another box which isn't a big deal for all.
