TV's for MH's

probably been asked before, but thinking of changing out my TV's on our rig (2002 Itasca Sunrise 32V). With all the flat screen (and curved ones now) out there, does anyone have experience with a replacement TV that can endure the roads of america in a MH?
  • Buy one that is reasonably priced and it does fail, replace it. Our 32" visio has made about 6-7 years so far, and is working very well. Unless it was built on a bad day, and has loose parts inside, Tey last a long time. Ours has survived from -10 to at least 110. If it very cold, I try to warm things up a bit before turning it on.
  • We've had a 32" best buy Insignia and a 22" Visio bouncing around for over 40,000 miles now. Both are relatively permanently mounted.

  • Thanks for the reply's. Sounds like anyone of them will do.

    Joe.
  • Replaced the 25" heavy cabinet mounted analog TV in our 5vr in 2008 with a 32" slim line VIZIO and put a 19" one in bedroom.

Both have bounced around the USA since then (6 yrs FTng). Not one problem.
Below freezing to triple digit temps.

I went with the VIZIOs (WALMART) 120VAC models... They are always on sale... No problems at all...

I use a small PURE SINE WAVE Inverter to run the Home Entertainment items when camping off the power grid...

I looked around for the FLAT SCREENs that used an outboard Transformer Brick cord so I could just use 12VDC straight into the TV set but they seem to be hard to find these days... My Inverter works just fine so no problem...

These flat screen digital HDTV are very light weight and can be installed almost anywhere...

I threw away all of my old HEAVY ANALOG TV sets when the NATL BROADCAST system changed over to DIGITAL TV mode everywhere a few years back...

  • We have a Vizio in front and an RCA in the bedroom. Both have been trouble free.
  • We have a Samsung Smart TV that we've had since Dec 2014 and it's working great. Our daughter gave it to us for Christmas that year. She got it on sale at Sears.
