Thanks Guys, very helpful. I am going to set u p the rig at home and check them out along with learning the leveling system and other things like Propane tank has a turn on and off and then there is a switch in rig that says Propane on and off so lots to learn before we venture out.

He may or may not have a wall plate. The "buttons box" often had the OTA antenna 12V power supply built in. Some had an on/off button on the front and some did not. If you can access the back of that box you will either see a 12V input connection (12V power supply built in) or no where that the 2 pin 12V connection would happen (12V power coming from a remote wall plate).

THe boxes still exist, the number of options is different. Or the method is different.

ON my 2005 the "Source" options for the most part are listed as
Cable, Ant, VCR, DVD AUX and SAT

But today the DVD is replaced by a Blue Ray, it connects to the TV with HDMI
Likewise the SAT, and the SAT receiver is also the DVR
That leaves just Cable, Ant and the opitonal AUX for the TV"s RF-(Antenna) Input

So. Somewhere you have a wall plate.. This will likely say "Winegard" and will ahve a 12 volt outlet, a Switch and light (on/off) and an antenna connector.. It will likely be somewhere near the MAIN tv or near the rooftop antenna.

For Sat, DVD/BLUE RAY and AUX.. Well different inputs on the TV itself are used.

You will still need to have the selection box in place to switch between Cable and OTA TV assuming no other modifications were made. The coax that runs to each TV will be connected to the box one going to the output that says TV and the other to the output that says TV2. This box may contain the OTA amplifier or it could be separate but the box would be necessary due to the way the coach was originally wired. There should then be a coax coming from the outside Cable connection that plugs into the back of the box and is labeled Cable and the coax that runs to the antenna on the roof will plug into the connection on the back labeled Ant (antenna).

sounds like a useless installer. these should have been demoed when installed.

in our new MH the BOMB (box of many buttons) is gone. to watch OTA TV we just turn on the antenna amplifier. if we want to watch cable we connect to the park's cable connection and turn off the antenna amplifier. that's all there is to it for us, maybe you too. of course you still need to scan for channels in both cases.

My guess is you go to your tvs menu and change inputs.

And do a scan (channel search) for OTA.

We select from the "menu" screen on our television.
