Two Fuel Pumps?

Something worth a try - while someone cycles the ignition, give the tank a good whack repeatedly with a 2x4 (ideally right under the fuel pump) and see if it brings the pump to life. The jostling may be just enough to shake a worn motor commutator into position to spin up again.

I had that happen to a Chevy pickup that began showing signs of starting issues. Was out camping one day and it failed to start, no fuel pump noise. That trick brought it to life sufficient to get to the shop.
