uncomfortable driving class a dp

I have electric seat adjustments to where you can adjust just about any way you need to.

02 Endeavor....I thought they had adjustable pedals...my Monaco product has adjustable pedals, move in and out, up and down to find the most comfortable position...if yours doesn't have that feature, perhaps it could be an add on....Dennis

When you are sitting at the wheel with your foot on the throttle pedal is your lower leg still in line with your upper leg or is your knee tilted in or out?

Try a pad; folded towel, very small cushion, etc. under your right leg near the front edge of the seat. You may have to move it around a bit to find the right spot, or move your led a bit more left or right. Perhaps also a pad to help keep your leg in line.

Finding the right position should help a lot.

I had more discomfort in our Class A gasser, but find the DP much better. It is likely a positional thing aggravating your position.

Oh, and NOTHING in your pockets, front, back or sides!

Also as you seem to know, use the cruise control and much as possible and shift your position a little frequently.

A change of seat my well be the way to go, but how will you know it is the right one until you have driven in it for a while. It could get a bit pricy swapping seats!

Roy I know what you mean. When I bought mine 8 years ago I could not drive 30 mins with out my knee throbbing(arthritis). I would have to put it in cruse control and put my leg on the dog house. This motivated my wife to learn how to drive. I could not move the seat back anymore because of the slide. I sat in my car and van and measured the angle that my knee was bent and raised the seat in the MH to match the angle. Also I had to make a block of wood to put in front of the gas pedal allowing me to extend my knee further. Now after 70 miles I can drive 3-4 hours before the throbbing starts but I can't get my wife to drive anymore.

I have degenerative disc disease. My pain is just below the belt just right of my spine. Sitting anywhere hurts, the longer I sit the more it hurts. I used to think my pain was in the hip but when my chiropractor manipulates my si joint, it relieves the pain. That is the joint between the spine and hip bone. Just have to experiment with positioning to see what hurts less.

Since it doesn't hurt in your other vehicles, I would say it has to have something to do with the seat. If you put cruise on and drive 30 minutes, can you do it without pain?

I forgot about the wallet. It has been years since my cyropractor has recommended I keep it in a front pocket, it is so thick that it causes the hips to sit a bit aquard, and thus the spine is off a bit too.

What about the seat adjustments? DOes it have electric seat adjustments? Can you tilt the bottom of the seat - try up in the back, down, up in the front, down, see what happens.

Probably a better seat will solve the problems.

Yes, remove the wallet from the hip pocket. Did that several years ago with good success. My pants and shorts are primarily cargo pockets type to solve the "where does it go?" problem.

Today, I could probably carry the wallet in the hip pocket, because it sure is thinner than it used to be...... :)

A memory foam cushion might help. Do you keep your wallet in your rear pocket on the side that is giving you trouble? My DH has started taking his wallet out of his pants pocket when we go in the MH. He was having trouble with his right hip. Removing the wallet helped a lot.

I have hip pain also. Put a nice soft pillow in the seat and sit on it, that's what I do and it works for me. Good luck.
