Under bed storage

We have a new to us DP, and I noticed after a long day of driving, the bed is warm from the emgine. I imagine the storage area under the bed gets warm, too. Do I have to be careful what I put in it? does it get hot enough to damage plastic or paper things?

    Hershey bars should not be stored there. Everything else will be fine....Dennis

    No problem. But not great for cooling your beer. Other than that no worries. We found blankets and winter clothes insulate the bed and keep it cooler. I have to tell you we have a lot of stuff under our bed and nothing has been damaged.
