UPDATE Yuma AC repair recommendation?

Question

It looks like our Coleman-Mach basement heatpump (Airxcel 46515 series) is failing. Possibly compressor(s) or if we're really lucky just the start capacitor(s). We are in southern Mexico and will be heading inland and/or north soon if I can't get it sorted in the next day or two. Not going to run it until I hear from Airxcel. Sent them an email yesterday.

This thing is rated as a two ton heatpump and weighs 200 pounds. It is a pig to R&R. I know, we did it down here 4 years ago.

Aiming for Yuma area OR somewhere between Ajo AZ and Olympia WN sometime in the next 4 to 6 weeks.

Yuma AC repair recommendation?Can't really recommended anybody.  But advance planning might help in the part situation.  We found parts sometimes hard to get in Yuma.  Some of the most basic parts had to be shipped in, Skylights for example took 3 days.  Had vehicle problems and the RAM dealer was week and 1/2 out before we could get appointment.

If it is the compressor it will have to be ordered and shipped in no matter where we are. Just looking for recommendations for a reliable RV shop with a good AC tech. Then we'll phone ahead and talk to them directly.

Give Nick a call at Foothills Mobile RV Repair  Phone number (928) 342-1704 and talk to him. There is a guy here in Yuma that is a true specialist on RV AC's. I think the name is Wilson or Williams, I will try to find the name and number tomorrow, but Nick can help you.

I've always gone to RV world, my dealer. I hear CJ's is good. Busy this time of year. You might have to wait for an appointment. Plan ahead.

Are you willing to take a stab at fixing it  yourself? The capacitors are a cheap way to go and pretty easy to test.
