Doug .... how does that work rolling down the road ? NOW IF all I had to worry about was powering the frig and stove with LP .... no problem. But the gen is fueled by LP. And that consumes lots. Heating? .. don’t use that much at all but if you did ... you’d have to get the tank filled quite often !
You have found the BIG problem when OEM's use LP powered Gensets versus spending the money on a Diesel genset on a Diesel powered Motorhome. Since your handle states Land Yacht, I will bet you have a 1990 to 1995 or so Land Yacht Diesel. Back then, Diesel RV Gensets were very expensive and OEM's installed LP powered Gensets to lower the cost. Also, some models of Diesel Motorhomes could not be configured with the size and design of that era Diesel Gensets. Some older Airstreams(1980 to about 1985) motorhomes, not Land Yachts, had 2 ASME LP tanks. A LARGE tank that held about 28 gallons liquid LP on the drivers side and a smaller tank about 10 gallons on the passenger side. The large tank powered the LP genset. FYI, these Airstreams used a Isuzu Diesel engine on a Chevy chassis. So, the Extend a stay ONLY works when camped. Then you have to have a way to safely transport the cylinder. ANY type ASME tank you will be able to find that will be larger will probably only increase your LP by at most 10 gallons. Not feasable for the cost. Doug
