Upgrading Audio System

Would like to upgrade radio/CD unit in 2008 Fleetwood Bounder 35E which is located in dash. Any recommendation on type of unit and how to remove currently installed unit.?
Happy Thanksgiving in advance.
  • The speakers are ****. Very cheap. Junk. Replace them before replacing the electronics. Easy project.
  • Thank-you for the timely responses. Purchased Kenwood Excelon dpx791bh bluetooth hd radio with Sirius and replaced speakers with JBL GX602 180 Watt Coaxial, this pm with "Black Friday" pricing package. Appreciate again the feedback.

We have been using Garmin dezl 760 LMT for our GPS needs.

    Again, TY, Happy Thanksgiving
  • If I could afford it I would put in a Kenwood 571TR head unit from Crutchfield. It includes Garmin nav system for trucks in addition to being a nice stereo.
  • Usually a face plate that is snapped off. Ford style radios have a small hole near each corner that you push a tool into that releases the spring latch.
As for replacements? Single, 1_1/2 or double din? From there online stores like www.crutchfield.com or any number of other web stores have lots of choices. Crutchfield has live or web chat people to talk you thru the whole process.
  • Can you post some pictures of the current unit? Also, are you looking to upgrade the entire unit or just the sound quality (speakers)?
