No problems in newer areas. Large trucks go there; you could too. However, as previously noted those drivers already know where they can go, you'll have a learning curve.
In the historic towns I parked outside and walked in. That will not have changed. Most any US sized vehicle will not fit on those streets.
We were the biggest thing in all the campgrounds we used, but no issues. Self contained operation will require substantial adaptation, but should be possible most places.
Adapters are available for everything: electricity, propane, and water.
As others have suggested, you are at the upper end of big. I would personally consider something Sprinter sized, and if you are comfortable with being able to enjoy 3 years I'd buy something there and sell it there.
When we were travelling in Europe a number of years ago, it was with a small SRW "C" which if visiting let say Paris, we would park on the out skirts and train in. This year while cycling for 2 months in Europe, we saw far more RV's than we did when travelling with the "C" 20 years ago. Some are a good size but still not near as big as the NA size rig.
In the smaller towns, traditionally, the town centre was the focal point of meetings, celebrations etc. and this is where many tourist, locals want to be. Many of these areas are pedestrian only. There are usually parking lots that cater to larger rigs not too far away where you can walk or if a larger centre, take local transport. But no, you just don't drive to the Zentrum(centre) with a big RV and expect to park.
