I've alway's used my jacks when storing my RV and I've been doing it since 1976! The purpose of this for me is to take weight off the tires. I have Michelin Tires on my RV (XRV's) and Michelin's Quality Tire Care Website advises to use a barrier between your tires and the ground. The reason I do this is to get optimin tire performance and tire care.
