Adding a slide out is not at all a trivial modification; the entire structure of the RV (at least that section of it) would need to be redone. In many cases it probably would not be possible, at least without more or less building a new RV on top of the bare chassis.
I don't want to discourage your thinking and dreaming, but would suggest that you relegate it mainly to a paper exercise rather than suspect it to be a practical plan.
