Using Motorcraft Oil

I have an E450 and am using Motorcraft engine oil. My question is, what happens when i am on the road and need an oil change and there is no Ford dealer close by since that is the only place to buy that oil? Of course on option would be to carry oil with me, but that takes up space and adds weight. What do you do? What oil do you think is best as an alternative?
  • By mine at local auto parts store. Can be had anywhere.

Not sure why your buying Ford branded oil but any oil that matches the SAE standard is plenty good

Motocraft is a synthetic blend, it's a great oil and doesn't cost any more than other similar oils.

I also buy mine at Walmart. Walmart also sells the Ford oil filters.

  • I buy it at Walmart. It's readily available just about any large store...
  • I forgot to mention, my B+ is a 2012 with 8500 miles on it.
