That's where I keep my phone, keys, wallet, and we put the dog dish on the floor between the seats. Since we spend almost no time inside we don't use it for much.

The driver's seat holds a baseball cap, containing all my pocket trash (wallet, sprays, Kleenex pack, etc.). The passenger seat holds the sofa cushions when we pull the sofa bed out.

We now have a Magic Curtain on our windshield, so the front seat area becomes part of our living space at night.

On mine the front two seats spin around and face the back. I place a small wastebasket between the two for collecting small trash items. I keep my keys, wallet, camera, checkbook and other things I may need quickly in the dash pocket. That way I know where they are and I am not searching through cabinets to find them. Usually have a windshield sunshade in place when parked.
