Can anyone tell me for sure year Ford came with the higher horsepower engine. I think 07 or 08.

Ummm..Wrong.
Ford actually corrected the 'spark plug nightmare' (IIRC by adding more threads in the head) long before the 3 valve heads ever came out.
Its amazing, all the 'misinformation' that gets unknowingly spread sometimes.
