Agreed, if you don't mind paying the price, Go for it...
When we bought our coach new in 2000, I would have preferred a DP.
However, after considering our travels would only be 3-4 months annually, and to destinations where our stays would be extended, I just couldn't justify the extra cost for a DP that would sit unused 8-9 months out of the year.
As a result we opted for a gas powered coach, that so far has more than adequately served our needs for the past 12 years, and provides us a comfortable, livable floor plan.
Regardless of which you choose give much consideration to the floor plan as most likely you'll be living in it more than driving it.
