Ford V10
Has anyone had to replace the throttle body on a V10? And if so what year was your unit & the amount of miles..

- 130 thousand miles--no problems with throttle body. One mass flow air sensor. Unit is a 2004.
- 1999 and the only issue was Coil on plugs and a mouse family.
- What makes you believe it needs to be replaced?

It will only idle & the code reads throttle body stuck.- Haste,
Look at things carefully, I would suspect the throttle position sensor. It is on the side of the throttle body and they have been know to fail.

Nope !
IAC went away when electronic throttle control came in. Also eliminated the cruise control actuator. Eliminating those 2 components, plus better fuel economy and emission controls justified the cost.Matt_Colie wrote:

It has been a LONG TIME since I looked at one, but IIRC, on electronic throttle bodies there are 2 sensors (or a dual sensor). One for the microprocessor that runs the throttle motor and one for the ECM.- What year is your coach? Drive by wire started around 06?
