just traded in my gas 7.4 L 290 HP /440 ft.lbs of torque in a 16000 lb MH on a 340 isb w/660 ft.lbs torque and 33000 lbs. Had the gas one in the mountains of Durango/Silverton/Ouray/Gunnison many times. Am anxious to see how it compares with the diesel. Worried the diesel may be underpowered in that the HP to weight ratio is less and the torque to weight ratio is less on the diesel. (diesel coach is heavier and has less HP & torque per pound than the gas one). Is this even a ratio to consider? I guess the proof will be in the driving and I'll report back in summer!
