backhoemike: I hate to be a "Naysayer", but I live here and Rt. 7 is the only north/south route in western VT, so it's doubtful they would restrict truck traffic. But then, Vermont does march to a different drummer, so anything is possible. However, I've been up and down that road hundreds of times with my 35' travel trailer and it is a very good, modern highway. He'd have no problems using it and what's the alternative? I87 in NY state and miss Vermont, I91 in the eastern Vermont and miss the Champlain Valley or were you thinking Rt. 100 straight up threw the Green Mountains. Either way you go, they all have some great scenery and lots of interesting things to see and do along the way. I'd do Rt. 7.
