video wiring upgrade?

It's time to look into upgrading my audio/video in the main cabin.

Coach is a 2008 monaco knight 40skq.
It's a reversed layout front kitchen model.
The TV is on the back wall, above a fireplace.

Sat receiver and DVD/surround sound player are up front over the drivers seat in the overhead console.

I have 2 sets of RGB/LR component RCA cables going from the front to the TV.
I'd really really like to have HDMI...

Does anyone have a clue where Monaco ran these cables?
And how much coach has to be taken apart to get at them?
I can see that bundle of coax as thick as my arm vanishing down into the cabinet that the fireplace is in...
The raised rail frame area in the basement is completely sealed off...

    The Genie with a SWM dish does support 7 HD channels on coax. The gotcha is you must have a SWM dish.

    My Genie HR44 receiver is as stated mounted above the TV and has a HDMI cable to the TV. For one month I also had a HR24 on the coax and could record 5+2 channels.

    FYI The HDMI cable to the TV allows the HR44 to automatically adjust the TV settings when I move the receiver between house and rig.

    BTW Before you do anything look up the report that DTV will drop SD transmission in 2019. This seems reliable.

    Also saw a suggestion that might happen to Dish but not sure if it's reliable.

    On my kitchen forward rig the cables are all over the ceiling. Since I have a cabinet over the TV that is where my new DTV receiver and dish controller reside. Receiver mounted vertically and uses a RF remote.

    The Monaco RCA player is up front with RCA cables to the TV. The TV is HD but the Monaco installed SD dish and receiver was not???

    You could go HDMI wireless or move the receiver as I did.

    Lots of options.

    x2 on the wireless HDMI. Works great, repeats the signal from the Dish Network remote and there is no interference. The only downside is that it is limited to one wireless receiver, supposedly by the FCC - something about "broadcasting".

    You can run HDMI almost through anything, just depends on your route. Sometimes it helps to run wires under the floorboards and/or under the coach. I'm actually surprised that a 2008 didn't come with HDMI.

    My 2015 Fleetwood DP has HDMI throughout the coach to all TVs.

    Forget the existing obsolete cables. Look into wireless HDMI. I have a i/o Gear system that works exceptionally well.

    I have ducted A/C and I ran an HDMI cable through it to the TV in the bedroom. Worked great. Before I did so I went and looked at a bunch of new motorhomes and trailers to see how most were hooked up with the newer HD equipment, I found almost all had their TV's hooked up with RGB cables. I found very few HDMI cables. But that was two years ago so maybe they've upgraded now.

    If you have heating a/C ducting in the ceiling, you might pull hdmi thru the duct work
    Most likely your best option is hdmi over coax converter
    A module goes on each end of the coax
    The HDMI signal is converted to digital rf , transmitted over the coax, and converted back to hdmi on the receiving tv end
