Vin look-up

Any thoughts on the best website to use for researching a Class C Vin number before diving in? I see a few various options such as RVchecks and totalvin. Not sure if one is better than the other.
Thanks
Bill

Thanks, I'm actually interested in basic research as part of the prebuy, such as warranty work, wrecks, etc. carfax does not list RVs.

That is odd to say that, I ran a Carfax on my Class C using the Vin and it showed that it had no accidents, when it was registered and to who and that it was a Rental which it was, also the recall on the seat belt that I have documented in the service record I received from El Monte RV.

OK, good to know. When I went to the carfax website I did not see that they listed RVs anywhere. It sounds like you just plug in the Vin number.
    Thanks

    RV's ARE on CarFax.

Just keep in mind that on all those sites like CarFax etc., it is NOT required by all shops to report to them.

If no one reported any repairs/accidents on the vin you are running, the entire vehicle just doesn't show up. Doesn't mean there weren't any repairs etc.

All of those sites are nice to use but are not an end all be all list.

You may be able to go to one of the regulars like Car Fax if your looking for title info such as accidents. If your looking for what your vin no. is telling you like origin of manufacture, date of build and that type of information you can find that on the web at sites like LMC truck. They put that info in all of there catalogs. Hope this helps some.
