Had not thought of that. Find anything "Marine" is usually better than RV!
I used sail tape from West Marine. It's white and has been on there for over a year. Looks like new. - jerseyjimExplorerOrdinary scotch tape....maybe the 2" or so wide version...make sure you put the tape under the tear....and on top of the tear. Works for me....
- jsmartExplorerI used something called "tear aide", used it on both the vinyl seats on our boat and on the awning seam along the top (2002 Itasca Sunrise). two years old and still holding strong. got it on Amazon (I think).
- MiRVExplorerMytumpet has it right! Duck Tape comes in multiple colors now. We tried the Camco tape and it was a failure. Replaced it with white duck tape...saving me some money before I have to replace 12 year old awning fabric. Can't even tell it's there :)
- GjacExplorer IIII like tarp tape for awning or tarp repair. Having said that I think most of the tapes mentioned here will work fine if the area to be taped is cleaned well with a good solvent like acetone then immediately apply the tape.
- DabooExplorerI used the clear stuff and it lasted about 2 weeks...I need to look at something different...good luck
- mtrumpetExplorerThis relatively simple thread has turned into a wealth of handy information. At least, for me anyway.
- johnhicksExplorerI've had very good luck with sail repair tape from West Marine (and for sails to). If possible once you get it in place pound on it with a rubber hammer.
