Vinyl Plank Flooring

I am thinking about replacing the sheet vinyl flooring with peel an stick vinyl plank flooring in my Class A Southwind.. Has anyone else did this and what were the results. Any problem with install?

Thanks

Dean
  • Avoid Allure plant flooring from Home Depot. It's cheap Chinese crapola. We had it laid in our house and sorely regret it.
  • hello I did my RV floor 2 years ago with vinyl flooring tiles that click together. everything looked good the first summer, that fall I put the RV away for storage and as I live in Canada the temperature drops to minus 30 during winter. The tiles shrink so much during the cold that they brake the interlocking edges crack and even though they do expand again in the summer after two winters I will now be replacing the flooring with something else. So be careful about the expansion issues due to temp. changes. I am interested to hear from others what flooring tiles they have put down that did not have this issue
  • Here is how you do it. This was several years ago, and we used Allure from Lowes. Easy to work with, sealed together well, wore very well. It is NOT cemented to floor, so it can float a bit with Temp changes.

    New MH floor.

Because of the temperature & humidity swings?
  • Decide on the product you want to install, and then go to the manufacturer's website and thoroughly read the requirements for the product. Many floorings designed for residential use is not recommend for recreational vehicles.
