I would bring the towed.. After all that's a lot of "House" to drive when you need to go to the store.. On my gasser I have not noticed reduced maneuverability when towing the tire tracks of the towed are always within the tracks of the motor home, This might not be true for a DP.. or for very very shap turns.. but on those turns you are normally in a Campground so you can drop and have your travel companion/co-pilot drive the towed. Only once have I ever had to have my co-pilot drive the towed (new towed, no tow base plate yet) sadly.. that is why I'm now solo (Shoe lost control).
Think about this.. The MPG difference when towing, can be as low as zero (Was with my first towed, alas the new towed which is 1500 pounds lighter, does affect MPG, it's a wind spoiler thing) But think about the MPG difference between the Motor home bob-tail and the towed when you go out to see an attraction or get a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk. BIG difference.
