Want to replace dometic 8500 awning with 9000

Question

My old awning is ruined and with the new I thought to add a few $100 and get the 9000. I think they have a better quality pole and I like the metal cover after closure.

My question is if the mounting is compatible. Mostly concerned with the arms and where they mount to the coach.

I would call the awning Mfgr. They should know. That's a good question.

I have had both,I really like the 9000 with the shield.They both attach to the Motorhome the same way in the same position.

This was dometics response and I ordered.

Thank you for contacting Dometic. The 9000 series awning will mount the same as the 8500 because they use the same hardware. The numbers that you would order by are: 839XX21.000B and 8273000.501B. The 8273000.501B is the newest series of 9000/8500 hardware that we produce.
