We do both, in the park and on the road - as the Splendide is efficient and uses little water, along with the fact that the Coach provides a smooth ride. So often, when heading down the road with the A/C on we will do the wash.

I can only testify to what we do and the fact that the unit has and does serve us well.

If you have it use it - but I will mention that you need to learn to un wrinkle the clothes before the dryer cycle, to gett the best results.

Most OEM's have a CYA warning about using the Washer. Usually it states to make sure the Gray Valve is OPEN when doing the Laundry. As long as you make sure the Gray tank is empty, then in transit should not be a problem. BUT, NOT COMMON, but there are some OEM's that do NOT plumb the Washer to the gray tank. It is plumbed straight to the outlet dump "Y"(really 3 inlet fittings). Usually those RV's will have a very prominent sticker stating this and you must have the Cap and Dump hose connected to the CG system. Have not seen this type in the past years, but was common years ago on some models. They did this because where the washer was located, they could not plumb it to the Tanks. Doug

We use ours all the time. We found we don't need to take NEAR as many clothes with us.
It is perfectly accessible with all the slides in, but we've never even given any thought to running it while driving. We just do all our laundry the day/night before we leave the campground.

Never used campground laundry, only my combo. I will dry while traveling but no washing until stopped for the day.

We made the mistake of using the campground washer and dryer when we had our previous coach even though we had a brand new stackable Splendide W/D. Someone had put clorox in the washer and our new towels were spotted.

So, never again with the campground system. Not really sure why we used their units in the first place, maybe we thought it would be faster. The motorhome units worked in that coach as well as the Bosch units in the new coach.

Can't imagine using them going down the road. Parked in the campground works fine.

We had a Splendide W/D in our last coach, and used it maybe 3 times in 15 years of ownership. The dryer took forever, and never totally dried the clothes. We now have an Asko washer and dryer, and we use them a lot. The dryer works on 220V, so it dries clothes as well as our home dryer. We don't use either one going down the road; we start a load when we get to the campground, and by the time we go to bed, it is all finished. The front-load washer could make a real mess if something happened on the road.

We've got a stable Bosch washer and dryer and never use CG laundry facilities and use them often going down the road. Never had a problem.

Ours are the Splendide Ariston. I learned one day by mistake that at least the dryer does just fine down the road :) it shut down when we pulled power at the campground and DW says I'll finish later, but when I started the gen to run the ACs she heard it start back up. We do it all the time now. Ours is way in the back so I barely hear it driving.

Wash machine I haven't tried. I was going to, but heard on some other forums that Spendide doesn't recommend it so I just never pursued it.

We have a large enough grey tank so it no problem using ours while traveling down the road. Its very accessible with the slides in and normally we are running the Generator anyway. The coach rides pretty smooth so bouncing isn't an issue for us.

We use ours all the time. It has paid for itself way over the purchase price.

Once you learn how to use it properly (don't overload it, use the correct detergent,etc.) you will never use a campground laundry again
