We're full-timers, so there is no "during your trip" for us. That said, we either do it ourselves where permitted (such as where we are at the military RV park at Aberdeen Proving Grounds) or have one of the mobile detailing businesses do it. We spent the holidays in Las Cruces, NM, this past winter and a mobile RV detailing crew hand-washed (a "waterless" system) and waxed our 36' fifth wheel for less than $200 (using good quality aircraft wax). We find the labor rates in the east and in California to be MUCH higher, though.
