- rgatijnet1Explorer IIILots of truck drivers and fifth wheelers messed up but I did not see any Class A's. :B
- OutdoorPhotograExplorerFirst 5er never stopped. Get home or to the campground and ask, "hey, where is my A/C?"
The orange and black warning sign is clearly higher than the bridge. Guess it isn't mean to be a test. - Rwake901ExplorerThis happened to a guy I worked with on a Ryder truck we rented to do some moves with. Of course we took out the insurance when our company rented it. BUT what they don't tell you is that the insurance doesn't cover the TOP of the truck! So the company I work for had to pay for it...
Funny I don't think the people in the fiver's even knew that their AC's were ripped off. They just kept driving! :) - OutdoorPhotograExplorerCareful math but can you imagine being the first carrier to test it?
Carrier passes under bridge in Suez Canal - BurbManExplorer IIThis is a train trestle in Durham NC. There were so many crashes some guy decided to put a video cam in his office window. Then he added a second in a storefront across the street to capture crashes from both angles. He built a website called 11foot8.com to post the videos and eventually made compilations like these for YoutTube.
- btilfanExplorerI've always wondered... does that sign mean 11' 8" will fit, or 11' 8" is the actual hight?

- romoreExplorer IIAnybody remember C.W. McCall and 'Wolf Creek Pass'? "Just like cleaning scum off a Louisiana swamp." LOL
- 2oldmanExplorer IIDidn't see any motorhomes in that.
Another fun drive is to be caught on a residential street with low-hanging tree branches, just waiting for any unsuspecting RVer to venture in. - kalynzooExplorerIt has been posted in the past that even when the sign gives max height one should be careful as the road may have been repaved or repaired adding an inch or two to the base. Out here in the West I have only come across two crossing I can remember with 12.0 clearance...I went around.
