Water Heater --Gas connection

Replacing old water heater with new . The old gas connection was at the rear of the heater whilst the new connection is at the front . Thinking of using one of these flexible gas connector lines you get for appliances . They are stainless steel with corrosion resistant coating . Has anyone used one of these before ? The ones I see in Home depot are by Brass craft . Thanks . Rod

I think if you look at the label affixed to that kind of flexible connector it will clearly say "not for use in vehicles" or some such language. Evidently they're subject to damage from vibration or something.

There are I believe some flexible connectors O.K. for RV use, but copper is still the preferred method.
