Your plumbing system is designed to be pressurized at something like 45 psi of water pressure as maintained by your water pump or fresh water supply. Air pressure less than that won't hurt it one bit.
Yes, my one gallon compressor has no chance of a complete blow out if I did the all faucets open at once method. That's why I do the open one at a time method and allow my small compressor to maintain the pressure in the lines. Same outcome, different method.
