I have 4 momentary contact switches with an intellitec(sp) controller. Personally, I seldom turn off the water pump and just let it do it's thing if the park pressure drops below the turn on set point. This is a common issue during periods of high water use in the park and this procedure always insures good pressure and flow.
Also, if you have a valve to fill the water tank make sure it's off when not filling or the pump will run continuously...same with outside shower.
