I second the aerator suggestion (Thanks to the person who made it I can never get the spelling right)
Also if the kitchen is a "Pull out head" type where the main faucet is also the sprayer... There is a check valve in the base of the head. (NOTE: Before you unscrew the hose for the head to remove and clean the valve.. Clamp the hose, (Binder clip or cloths pin it somehow) so it does not drop fully back into the faucet.
