Popeye Thorley was a good choice for me. They were ceramic coated along with a free flowing muffler it was about $1000 installed by a local muffler shop. Banks at the time was about 3 times that price installed. Max torque on that vintage 454 TBI is at 1800 rpm. If you look at the Banks web site their HP and Torque claims are at higher RPMs, so they might be better for a higher revving Ford or later version Chevy. They made a huge improvement in performance. I wished I did this first instead of just fixing the leaky manifold gaskets.
