I don't think the answer is use RMP/Zeps its great or don't use it it peels off. If your MH still takes a shine after you cleaned it I would not use it. Like rgatijnet1 said you did the hard work already. If the surface is not oxidized the acrylic polish will not adhere well and will peel. My 1996 GBM was getting harder and harder to put a shine on it by hand. When it was about 15 years old I cleaned it with BKF and TSP and was able to hand polish it for 2 more years. At about 17 years old the gel coat was highly oxidized and I put the Zeps floor polish on and was very pleased with the results. It has not peeled or yellowed in 3 years and shines better than when I bought it 10 years ago. I had to reapply it to the front cap each year due to removing bugs but it retains a deep shine after I reapplied it. If I was 10 years younger and had good shoulders I would try to bring the surface back by using a machine buffer.
