Since you are new to RVs I would suggest renting for at least a weekend or a week. It sounds like you are set on a B, but renting will confirm if you can handle the smaller interior.
Another option is to find an older used B for a reasonable price. Try it for a year. If you don't like it you can sell it and not be out much money as they hold their value well. This is what we did and have never looked back. We found a nice used Roadtrek that we have had now for 3 years.
